on the same time as i've got faith that this is unlawful exceptionally plenty everywhere slavery nonetheless exists, even interior the U.S. I stay half-hour outdoors Washington D.C. and in simple terms final 12 months the police busted a prostitution ring that coated intercourse-slaves from Asia and Latin u.s.. Nor are all the slaves from third worldwide international locations. in simple terms the day earlier on the instant there substitute right into a information record of a fifteen 12 months previous American female, who substitute into saved as a intercourse slave for a 12 months via a pair in New England. Granted slavery isn't an customary employer like it substitute into 2 hundred hundred years in the past, in spite of the undeniable fact that it nonetheless exists. (edit) some people in this board are below the fake impact that human trafficking is extra indentured servitude than slavery. in spite of the reality that some trafficking is extra similar to indentured servitude in that they are paying off a debt to artwork in fields or on the same time as intercourse workers, many are no longer. frequently those each physique is tricked into those circumstances or outright abducted. they do no longer look to be paid, are dealt with as materials having no rights, and are mentally and bodily abused. this is slavery no longer indentured servitude.

First of all Indentured Servitude is NOT slavery.
Saudi Arabia outlawed slavery in 1965.
There might be some small pockets of slavery in isolated villages around the world, but the word 'slavery' is being grossly misused for political leverage. An underpaid factory worker is not a slave, an indentured servant is not a slave.

I suggest that you do a little of your own research on the Internet on this topic. There are women who do not speak English who are held in the good old United States against their will to act as prostitutes. Their managers/owners typically hold a debt against them and threaten them repeatedly. These women do not trust anyone.
In some cases there are documented cases of illegal immigrants have been threatened and made to work in substandard conditions and again force to pay off an exhorbitant debt to their managers.
This may be more prevalent overseas, but this is clearly a worldwide problem.

Everyone is slave to the grind.
We all have to work to survive. We don't get beat or killed if we don't work. Just lose everything we need, including food and shelter. So therefore, we DO have to work to survive. Just a slower death today than in the days of slave trade.
