I believe I have always been more of a socially conscious person than my parents. Their circle has always been very small and centered around the home.
I was a performer and involved with several community groups, and been more service oriented.

My father does not like to work at all and likes to get drunk & smoke. My mother likes to tell everyone what to do & not do anything at all or the least amount of work. Hence, their divorce.
I know I am different from my parents.

I love the great outdoors (camping, fishing, ect.) My dad acts like, if nature touched him, he'd shrivel up and die. My mom has pseudo-panic attacks when she encounters any kind of bug. We NEVER go on family camping trips. If my parents aren't in some comfy resort, they aren't havin' it. :P
