Spain is the major part of the Iberian Peninsula, which is attached to Europe. It shares the peninsula with Portugal.

America is two continents and a subcontinent--North America, South America and Central America.

America has also become more or less attached to the United States as another name for that country, and our citizens are commonly known as "Americans." Unfortunately, there are no better short nouns available. We cannot be known as "United Statesians," and it takes too long to say "Citizens of the United States of America," so America is also a country, whether we like it that way or not.

Spain is a country in the continent of Europe.
America can mean either depending on the context. "America" is often used to refer to the country of the United States of America (the U.S.'s official full name). The continent is also known as America, although divided into North America and South America.

Well, I would say that Spain is in Europe. New Spain is in Latin America

America is split into north, south and central, making the Americas. The United States of America is the official name of a republic in north America, just north of the Republic of Mexico.

Spain is in Europe.
America is often short for "The United States of America", which is a country. However, it can also refer to North America or South America, which are each continents.

You don't have to be a USA citizen to know what the continents are. You obviously have no idea what the continents are, and this is something you can figure out really easily if you weren't so lazy.
