Yeah they are right. All elements are impossible to make because they are only made of one material. Gold is made of gold ions and silver is made of silver ions. You can't make them because Gold and Silver aren't made by 2 or more compounds. They are two different processes. I think you are recalling the time of alchemy, when alchemists believed in finding a way to make gold. It is impossible because gold is simply gold, another term for fools gold is synthetic gold because it is man made. They called it fools gold because it was fake. Everything man made is made of two or more materials. To create something you have to first separate the components of the material, but if there is only one component, an element, it cannot be man made.

Sedimentary rock formations are created by particulate matter (sand, calcium, mud, etc) being deposited and then compacted by pressure for a long period of time. Igneous rocks are formed by magma cooling at various rates and in various conditions. Metamorphic rocks are either sedimentary or igneous rocks that have been re-exposed to heat and pressure to change (rechrystalize) them into another rock type(Limestone changes to Marble). Gold and other metals are found in various formations worldwide. Rocks form. Metals are not rocks, ergo no forming of metals. The rocks contain the metals. The concentration of the metal in the rock (refered to as Ore) is called grade. The higher the grade of the ore the more metal is present. Hope this helps you understand.

I'm not even sure what you're asking. Sedimentary, metamorphic, and igneous rock(s) are formed through totally different processes.
What's your question?

None of the other rock types you've listed are elements. Elements don't need to be formed as they already exist.

They can be... in a nuclear reaction. But not naturally, apparently.
