I believe in obeying my husband. I like your idea about the serving wench doormat. Even though I am obedient I can't picture myself being a mindless doormat; goodness mate I do need some backbone.

My husband's mother allowed his father to beat him severely when he was a small child. (He has forgiven her)
Men who have had awful mothers often feel the way you do.
Some mom's are sweet, loving kind and work hard to raise 'good people'. We should all have had this.
I'm sorry you are so hurt and angry. I only hope you can mature and forgive what has happened to you.
Women are just people...some are horrible, but many, many are wonderful.

Because you don't know any woman, other wise you wouldn't be saying this. Females are free spirited, intelligent, knowledgeable, kind, understanding, caring.
Most of them are, anyways. I admit that some females aren't. Just like some males aren't scumbags.
