Often. Sometimes it is necessary to see what I don't normally allow myself to see.

My Grandson and I play a game. We lie down on the grass, close our eyes, and listen....ever so intently and take turns naming the sounds around us. We use our sense of smell, and feel the breeze, the grass and talk about the things that are around us.

Everyday, I have to close my eyes to stay alive. I can't see clearly unless my eyes are shut half the time.

Ooooh that reminds me of a song, but I can't remember it! Anyway....my eyes have been closed for years, but I recently started getting the sleep out of them....they're wide open now.....

I close my eyes to see..to calm down...and this is what I say...
Take a deep breath
count to 5
until you feel calm inside...
I take a deep breath and count to 5 and then I open my eyes..and I feel so much better....ahhhhh
