I strongly recommend getting a Sleep Studies test. Especially if have also morning headaches and sleepiness during day time. Snoring is a major symptoms of sleep apnea. Just like someone else mentioned, if you have sleep apnea then you'll get a CPAP machine and have better sleep without the major risks of stopping breathing. You need to see a pulmonologist for the sleep study test.

you might want to take a sleep test to see if you have sleep apnea.
I used to snore so bad my brother would throw pillows at me to stop, and he was in a totally other room, LOL it was that bad, the walls shook.
Anyway, I was feeling tired alot and falling asleep at work, so my Dr told me to get tested.
Well I stopped breathing 70 times in a one hour period.
I now sleep with a CPAP machine, I'm getting much better/deeper sleep and most of all, it's quiet in the house now. not a single peep out of me.

good luck.

excess weight can contribute to snoring. if that's the case, you could lose a bit of weight.

Also, alcohol can make it worse -don't drink alcohol.
If you are congested, you can take a decongestant and that can help.

They also have breathe-right strips to put on your nose, but I wouldn't go pulling those out until AFTER you're married! LOL
