Prostores or a Yahoo store.

Forget Prostores, they cost a bundle to set up.

You can open an ebay store for $15 a month, a yahoo store for about $150 a month, or use GoDaddy to establish your own web store.

The advantage with ebay is that you have a huge pool of customers that you can drive to your store with auctions. Instant business if your product is in demand and your price is righ.

It's great that you want to take in a dog that needs a home but I hope you realize that there's no such thing as a "free"dog. If you're not up to the vet, medicine, and food costs, don't do it right now. If you are aware of the costs, find a local shelter.

Try ...

They're easier to deal with than Yahoo or Godaddy, have good web building tools, and are inexpensive.
