Any thoughts on what might be the problem, and how I can fix it? Even if it is temporary? My car is a 1997 Blazer.

Note the car is an automatic, and air pressure on the tires are good. I can move the shifter from P to N to R, just doesn't do anything, car is stuck in N.

Do you have brake lights?

Some manufacurers use a safety solenoid that releases the gear selector only while the brake pedal is pushed down.

ADDED: Your question is vague. Are you saying the you can put it in drive and revese, but the truck doesn't go?

Or, you can't move the selector lever to those position.

Can you put it in first or second gear?

Does it try to move at all?

Does it make any funny noises?

Does the gear selector seem to move freely?

Does the gear selector seem stiff or get stuck?

Is there a puddle of oil under the truck?

What did it do before you parked it?

Did it run fine before?

Could be or check the ECU from the gearbox because i've got the same problem with my car too & the mechanic said there's a problem with the gearbox so they're going to check the ECU from the gearbox.

that depends do you mean nothing happens when you have the shifter in the reverse or forward gears or that you cant move the shifter
if you can move the shifter then it could be related to a savety on the brake try pumping the brake lift the peddle up with your hand .
turn the steering wheel around too.
other then that check your the trans fuilds.
you may have a seized cable or broken one .

pretty sure there is a fuse on some of vehicles that will not allow a car to go into gear ir the brake lights are out,my truck was like that,it is a safety thing.check you rear lights and see if there all working.then start at your fuses.you always have to put your foot on the brake to shift into gear.so it makes sence.thanks
