You are going to get some smart-alic answers here. Honestly, it would be best to take it to a pet shop, and tell them they can have it. They may know how to train it tamer than it is right now. You don't want to just let it go, it will not survive on it's own being a domestic pet. She bites because she may just be timid and scared.
You could put an ad in the paper advertising it for free, w/cage....and also let it know that she bites. There may be someone out there that may know how to deal with that type of pet. It doesn't deserve to be put to sleep just because she bites. Good luck with it....do what is best for her.

Get some duct tape, tape her face and use it as an anti-stress ball ;)

No, for real.. Would you try get rid of your baby too if he/she is a pain in the a..? You should have thought about that before you bought it. Just feed and take care of the poor animal, it's probably just scared..
Also, punish the hamster *directly* after she bit someone. She might learn that it's not ok to bite people.

Deciding to welcome any pet into our lives, whether it be a large animal or small (in this case, a hamster), is a responsibility that should be well thought out. Releasing a non-native companion animal to an assured death is completely irresponsible and shame on you for considering this option.

In her best interest, give her to a pet store to be sold as a pet, take the time to find her a home, or see if a no-kill shelter will take her in.

Do NOT let her go outside. Take her to a shelter, please. Outside she will die cold, lonely, scared, bewildered, miserable and painfully.

And next time, do some homework before getting a pet that you will later have to abandon... Better yet, don't get another pet at all, if you aren't willing to spend money to bring her to a vet when necessary. Pet ownership is a big responsibility, and shouldn't be taken lightly.

number one rule of pet ownership...if the animal isn*t capable of surviving on it*s own NEVER turn it loose..You could contact nursing homes, boys/girls homes, etc..and see if they would accept a donation of a hamster. Alot of these use *pet therapy* and this brings joy, a purpose, and hope into otherwise sad, lonely lifes. The *pet* would be well cared for, and loved.

Ugh, no dont feed it to a snake!!!!
Ask and see maybe a friend wants a hammy.
Maybe theres a health reason that your hammy bites. See a vet.
Or go to a no-kill shelter.

you are in luck! pets at home have just started an adoption centre, so go to your nearest store and explain, you can sign it over to them and there will be no questions asked. They will rehome it for you for free and all donations go to the Pets at Home foundation charity which helps to rehome all abandoned animals

you may be able to take it to an animal shelter or try selling it to someone who doesnt't want the hamster to play with but just to watch in its cage. Buisness men/women will sometimes have them in their offices just to look at. I know it sounds cruel but some hamsters prefer that way of life.

If you are willing to have it killed, let somebody have it for snake food. Go someplace that sells reptiles and explain your situation. They routinely feed rats to snakes, and a hamster would be fine.
I knew one rat breeder who had a fancy rat with a really bad temperament. It was no good as a pet, and she didn't want to breed it and carry on this trait; so she allowed a pet store to feed it to a snake.
(There are humane ways to "put it to sleep" yourself, but I won't discuss this on YA.)

Do NOT just let it go. It won't have a chance. There are bound to be people who will take it whether it bites or not. Ask your vet if he or she has any suggestions.
