I just got a trial pair of contacts on Friday. I have two very different prescriptions, my left eye is way worse then my right but my right has an astigmatism. So in the process of getting used to my contacts I will get these killer headache because the right swivles so much I can't focus. So tonight I have had them in the 8 hours I was supposed to and go to take them out. The right eye, with the thicker lens pops right out no problem, but I have now been trying for an hour to get the thinner left eye out. I have tried flushing it, lifting my lid, scrunching it in the corner, rolling my eyes around, and of course the normal way my doc told me to. My eye hurts horribly and I just want it out. I am so frustrated I was able to cry for about 20 minutes and that STILL didn't do it. I don't know what to do and my doctor's office isn't open again until tomorrow.

I KNOW it's still in my eye, I can feel it start to pop up but I can't keep it between my fingers.

First, make sure that it's in there by checking your vision in just that eye. I once tried getting mine out for about 30 minutes and realized that there wasn't one in there, and it must've fallen out. I would wet your finger with solution, and move your contact around in your eye, which my get some air between your eye and your contact. Try again, but don't try and get it out with a lot of force. Gently trying to get it out seems to be the best way. The only thing that would happen if you tried with force is hurting your eye even more! Hope this helps, and you get the contact out!

Its probably already out.
Go back to where you started taking them out.
Shut off the lights and use a flash light to check for something wet and shiny. do not forget to check the cupboard doors. This still happens to me.lol
If your eye is sore it is probably from you digging in it.
If you are sure its still in there lay on the couch with your eyes shut for a while. They will rise up. But I bet they are stuck to your jeans or shirt or on the fuzzy rug in the bathroom. You know you could ask a neighbor for help.

i used to have this problem when i first got my contacts. i just grab it in a pincer-grip when its in the right spot on your eye. a tip though, the contact will be more attracted to the wetter surface, so try wetting your fingers so it'll come out easier.

good luck!!

Try and dry the surface of the contact lens. Keep your fingers very dry too. When the surface of the lens is dry, you get friction with your dry fingers. Pinch the contact lens right in the middle, it will be slightly painful because it seems that your lens are kind of stuck to your eye but just ignore the pain and pinch the lens out.

i think the best thing to do would be to go to the hospital because....i mean damn! just because u dont know what ur doing and u might be screwing ur eye up and u only seem to be making it worse and u cant do anything about it and u obviously need it out of ur eye now

Ask someone to take you to the hospital emergency room, so a doctor can remove it for you.
