i need to get my starter replaced in my car. i have a 1989 buick lesabre

is it easy enough for someone else beside a mechanic to put it in

Starter motors are not typically difficult to replace. You must disconnect the battery's negative terminal. Typically remove 2-3 bolts and electrical wiring connections.

The difficult part is usually getting to the starter motor.

Typical time to replace is max 1 hour.

Very easy to replace yourself. If its a 3.8 liter starter is in front on left side. You can get a starter for this around $70.00 No more then an hrs. labor.

between 80-100 dollars depends on the price of the starter,an your labor

I work on cars and would charge $75 dollars,It only takes about 30 minutes to do it.Thats all,it's very simple.dont let them charge you for over an hour of labor.

About $300 give or take. These ones aren't too bad to swap out.
