a lysosome is a tiny organelle found in all eucaryotic cells. The lysosomes are more or less the wrecking crew of a cell. They digest macromolecules such as monosaccharides and break down damaged or old cell parts as well as bacteria.
Vacuoles are membrane-bound sacs within the cytoplasm of a cell that function in several different ways. In mature plant cells, vacuoles tend to be very large and are extremely important in providing structural support, as well as serving functions such as storage, waste disposal, protection, and growth.

Lysosomes are small round structures that contain chemicals that break down large food particles into smaller ones. They also break down old cell parts and release the substances so they can be used again. You can think of the lysosomes as the cell's cleanup crew.
Although lysosomes contain powerful chemicals, they cannot hurt you. The lysosomes have a membrane around them that keeps the harsh chemicals from escaping and breaking down the rest of the cell.
Vacuoles are large, round, water-filled sacs that float around in the cytoplasm. You can think of it as the storage area for the cell. Most plant cells have one large vacuole. Some animal cells have none; other ones do.
Vacuoles store food and other materials needed by the cell. Vacuoles can also store waste products. Most of the water in plant cells is stored in vacuoles. When the vacuoles are full of water, they make the cell plump and firm. In a plant, if the vacuoles do not have enough water, it wilts.

In mammalian cells, lysosomes are also involved in the export of chemicals from the cell, as in the multi-drug resistance pathways found in many cancer cells: drugs are transported to lysosomes and then exported (by fusing of the lysosome with the cell membrane).

Vacuoles are sac-like organelles that are for temporary storage in the cell. Lysosomes contain digestive enzymes that work on food particles, old organelles, ingested bacteria, and sometimes the whole cell.
