when i was 13 i got a cartelidge piercing and a keloid had formed. i'm 18 1/2 now and i just decided to let the piercing heal (if it will ever close, i don't really care). but will the keloid ever go away? if not, maybe i'll just put an earring back in there so i don't think about it and feel it.

Keloids are basically scar tissue, correct? If so, then perhaps you could try one of the many scar diminishing creams that are now on the market-Just a thought....

Yes in fact I did once, not so very long ago. What I enjoyed more than running away however was the cat in the poem, representing, as a metaphor, I thought anyway, and animals are as much a part of my life as people are. I don't know if I'm ok with being completely feral, but I'm not, in a strict sense, totally domesticated either. Great poem.
