usually the doors to the venue will open about an hour or so before the actual show time...it`s highly unlikely that u will even see the artist until time for the concert, but it`s possible...keep your eyes open while the opening act is on stage, because some musicians like to head out into the crowd & check out the other groups that are playing...u might be able to get in for the sound check, but i wouldn`t count on it, & the groups usually do their soundchecks earlier in the day before the show, sometimes even hours ahead...

It really depends on the concert, but yes, in most cases you will have to stand outside. As far as sound checks go, you usually either have to be on a guest/VIP list or be in their fan club to get in, but it depends on the performer/band. If it is a smaller club, sometimes the performers/bands walk around and you get a chance to meet them. If it's a big concert with a popular performer, then probably not. You can usually call the place ahead of time to find out.

in my experience they will usually let you go into outdoor venues earlier than indoors, and in neither circumstance is it easy to meet the main event unless you happen to be ridiculously lucky with a big splash of in the right place at the right time. the closest i've ever come is standing nearby when said person is exiting or entering their transportation, be it tour bus, limo or whatever. it's much easier to see celebs when they're doing other people's shows (talk shows, etc.) getting in at sound check is HIGHLY unlikely if the venue holds more than, say, 800-1000 people. the bigger the venue, the bigger the star, the harder the are to get to all the way around- most of the time. hope that helps!

Yes they make you stand outside. Now when you go to a thearte / club, your chances of seeing one of them walking around are pretty good. My freind and I walked past The Vanished (Dallas band) at their show in fort worht a few years ago. We had no idea who it was until we saw their drummer and bassist at their merch shop and went to say hi. They were actually really nice & the drummer signed my cd. So go to a club and know what the bands memeber's look like. You might be lucky like me. Have fun! :D
