Its because basketball is a team game. No matter how good a player is, you have to find the right players to make the team good and then that player becomes even better. Yes, Michael Jordan was one of the best players, but only because all the role players around him played their role.
With Iverson, he's also a great player but he's on a team that has another star in Carmelo Anthony. Iverson used to be the only star in 76ers so he was the go to guy and the one that did everything. Now he has to learn to work with Melo in trying to get that right chemistry and also along with everyone else in the Nuggets. Thats a big change for him. So he will have bad games where he needs to adapt to this new offense and new team.

Give him some time. Iverson's always used to being the #1 guy in Phili, the guy who needs to score, but he is trying to settle into his role of being the second man, the pure shooting/point guard in Denver. When he and Melo finally mesh, we will see a soild 20 points and 10 assists from A.I. every night.

Thats because now he is in Denver. He's not the only good person on the team so he has to egt used to other players taking shots. Not saying he's a ball hog but he just need some time.

HE SURE IS!! AND HE LOOK GOOD DOIN IT! Unfortunately, he has to pass the ball a lot more than he used to with the sixers. he has to share the ball!!! hes playin with a huge star and "somewhat" ballhog, carmelo anthony. But if you noticed every once in a while, he will do something to excite everyone. I think he will start to shine again soon though. I HAVE FAITH IN HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am a HUGE ivo fan as well as you can tell from my username ( A.I.'sWif3y4lif3) even though he married.

Because AI is playing with a team mate who hogs the ball even more than himself,.Melo Anthony. Incidentally, I agree with you, AI is a terrific player. I predict when he is done, he will be a first ballot hall of famer.

cuz hes a ******* ball hogger thats why whenever carmelo has the ball he doesnt even think of passing it he just shoots it because he knows if he passes it to iverson he wont get it back.

iverson plays so crappy because he is now playing for denver nuggets where carmelo anthony is there leading scorer not iverson.

He can't play well with someone at his level or above. That is why he looked so dominat in Philly, because he never had anyone who could play at his level.
