Is myspace seriously THAT dangerous or do people just say that? Does anyone know of anyone that actually has gotten in some sort of dangerous position through myspace---is it just rumors?

people have gotten raped and stuff from myspace but as long as you dont give out a lot of personal information, keep your profile private, and only add people you know, i think that you would be pretty safe on there.

I love myspace. I got on it to connect with old friends from high school. I've found just about all my old friends and then some. I think that it can only be bad if the person let's it be. If you tell a complete stranger your personal info then you are just asking for trouble. I have mine set to private so no one can check out my pics. But as long as you use it wisely then you should be ok. It's just good fun to talk to old friends who are all over the world now.

I would not recommend MYSPACE to youngsters. I agree that keeping information private will help. Lately, there has been someone who has attached pornographic bulletins to people's addresses and when you send out a bulletin this same junk goes out to all your friends, The administrators are trying to do something about it - apparently, their is a lawsuit going on, but I was told just change your password. I used to like it - but I'm thinking about taking myspace down.

Myspace isn't bad!!! I keep telling people that! It is the person's choice to put their personal information on the site and besides they can block, delete, and ignore people. Also, the person on the site can set their profile to public view (everyone sees it) or private view (only their friends see it). People are just ignorant and avoid using that option.

it's dangerous for some people. you see all these girls posting pictures of themselves half naked with their location and where they live or what school they go to and then leave their profile to be seen by anybody, that is just inviting men or women to step right into their home. seriously, if you're going to put that much information up about you the least you could do is make it private and only allow people you know to see it.
