Mariano Rivera has been the most consistent closer in baseball for the past 10 years. There's never a controversy about who's coming in during the 9th inning up in the Bronx.

Meanwhile, Bobby Jenks has not been sharp this year, had a high (for a closer) ERA last year, and the White Sox have former Royals closer Mike MacDougal (from that one year when they were okay) waiting in the wings. I'll go with Mariano any day.

Rivera. Unless this storm wipes out the entire Cleveland series (starting Tuesday).

Jenks isn't getting his usual velocity, and the team is resting him. He'll have limited value for a week or so.

Bobby Jenks. even nevertheless the Yankees and Rivera are greater applicable, the Yankees are on a skid. whether Rivera pitches large, he can no longer get a shop if the Yankees are at the back of. shop that for the time of concepts.

Despite his taking the loss today, I'd stick with Rivera.

Rivera - a future HOF'er vs. a 290 lb inconsistent psycho? Why is there even any doubt in your mind?

I know that I'm questioning Mo's value as well...I've long loved him in pinstripes. But honestly, that 40 era knocked me out of 3rd place, and that's something I canNOT stand (to lose). Alas, I know come July and August his era will be 2 and whip .8 IF that. I can't let go of Mo, and neither should you.
