For good info on all aspects of their care, try http;//www.austinsturtlepage.com and http://www.redearslider.com

1. Food- try good turtle pellets (especially those designed for baby turtles), blood worms, and krill. They will also eat other kinds of worms, shrimps, insects, bugs, snails, etc. Some fish, but not too much- it is hard for them to catch at this stage!

2. The most common reason a turtles odes not eat is water temp. keep the daytime water temps around 75-80F.

3. A 20 gal. tank will be OK for a short while, but you'll want a much bigger tank soon. Many of us use the translucent plastic tubs for bigger tnaks- nice and cheap!

RES are omnivores, feed them some live food, like earth worms and small feeder fish, also give it some natural aquaic plants like hydrillia and water hyesians. A 20 gallon isn't that exspensive you can probably get one fairly cheaply from ebay
