What does it mean to dream about airplanes?

I have had several dreams lately about airplanes. Nothing really bad. But just that the airplanes are worked into my dreams in different ways. What does it mean to have an airplane in your dreams lots?

Last night I dreamed about a helicopter above me, way up in the air. Plus I felt like I was on the helicopter at the same time. Very weird that I am dreaming so much about flight. Nothing bad happened. It is just there for some reason.

Well, you don't offer a specific dream to think on, but in general an airplane is a symbol for intellectual exploration.... The element of air = Intellect, an airplane = travel. A symbol by itself doesn't really offer much to go on though. When you go to interpret a dream, you need to write it down in every detail you remember. There are so many other things that can affect the meaning of a symbol. You need to look at what you are doing in your dream, are you on the plane or watching it, is it taking off, or landing (If taking off, could be launching a new venture, if landing could be completion, if crashing, could be the venture is a complete disaster, for example) You also need to notice what else you are doing in your dream, where you are, what your general attitude is, if there are others in the dream, and what their general attitude is. It also depends on what an airplane means to you personally, based on your own experiences with them. Even the direction the plane is going in has meaning, right to left is heading into the past, left to right is heading into the future, or if on a plane, the destination you are heading for has meaning only for you, based on what the destination means in your life. Someone who takes a plane ride to attend a wedding, would have a different attitude toward planes than someone who lost a relative on 9/11. Sketch mentions that he loves aviation, and anything to do with planes, he would definitely attach a much different meaning to them than the average person.
