start out at a short length of time, maybe only 5 min or so, & gradually work up by a min or 2 each session (if all goes well) til u reach the maximum...probably 3 or 4 times a week would be sufficient, depending on how dark u wanna get...happy tanning!!!

Well to get a base tan you can go 3 or 4 times a week. The ladies at the tanning salon will help you figure out how long you should lay for the first couple of times based on your skin tone. I would say lay in a regular 8 minutes or the other beds 5 or so.
It is also important that you buy a really good tanning lotion. The best ones to buy are the ones at the tanning salon. The more expensive the better. You need to also keep you skin moisturized by apply regular lotion daily, like after you shower.
Happy Tanning!

You have just enough time to build up a nice glow. The first 3-4 times only get in for aboout 5 minutes in a regular bed, and only do it every other day. Then, gradually build up more time, like on the 5th and 6th time stay in for 7 minutes. On the 7th time increase to 10 minutes and so on until you reach the max amount of time allowed. Once you've passed the 7th session, you can now go every day. Also, its important to NOT get in if you have even a slight burn, best to wait another day. Another important thing to remember is to moisturize afterward. You can try the tan accelorators, but I have yet to find one that actually works and doesn't make you like a pumpkin! Good luck, and have fun at your prom!

if you tan pretty easily then you only need to tan a couple times before prom. three times before prom should be fine unless you want to be super dark. usually they'll let you in for 15 mins or so. ask for the machine that tans the best and burns the least. one pretty good idea is to spray tan RIGHT before prom because it doesnt last as long. i would try spray tanning now and see how you like it then do it again right before prom. you wont burn if you get a spray tan. they look nice too, but they smell kinda funny.

The first session should be no more than 10 Minutes. Then wait a couple of days to see how your skin is. As soon as the pink or redness fades, go back and do another 10 or 12 Minutes... Then make it about 2 or 3 times a week with no more than 15 minutes under the lamps.

Do yourself a HUGE favor and don't tan...sun or tanning bed or otherwise! You'll regret it down the road due to all the skin damage and risks of cancer it poses. There are so many great self tanners out there now that are safe and will give you a natural looking even glow all over.

Ask any dermatologist -- tanning = sun damage!! Even if you never burn, you are still courting skin cancer, not to mention wrinkles and leathery skin in your old age. DON'T TAN!!! Please!
