They have to get permission from the label in order to play them.
In some cases, whoever does the programming is simply choosing not to play them.

I'm not sure. I never noticed that they didn't play certian artists. Well, except those that haven't been signed yet or really hit it big yet.

They can only play songs from companies who give them permission to do so.

They don't even have Nickelback! I couldn't find one video of them. Not a one!
