Made less than 5000 a year, will it affect his record or will there be some penalties b/c he didnt fill out taxes for 2006?

If you live with your parents they can claim you as a dependant, and you don't have to file taxes IF your earned income is less that $5,150. But to be sure you should ask either your parents or an accountant, there are a lot of places that will not charge you anything just for a quick question!. Good Luck!
