No, I have never been robbed. I praise God every day for His protection.
My aunt and uncle were robbed once. It was a devastating experience.
My church is in a bad neighborhood and got broken into once. The members were at front having Bible study when they heard a loud crash. When they went to investigate, they saw two teens trying to get in. The teens, when they saw the church members took off running.
Robbing people is WRONG!

They've tried... in 1990, I was home, heard the noise and the magic sound of a pump-action drove them out of the house into the waiting arms of the San Diego Sheriff.
In 2004 I caught another burglar... held him at gunpoint until the Calaveras County Sheriff arrived. He almost escaped, but I fired a round into the floor and he froze like a good little felon.

My house was burglarized when I was a kid. My Mom, sister, and I were at home. We were already in the basement watching TV and they snuck in quietly and locked the door to the basement without us knowing. When I tried to go upstairs and the door was locked we called the police. The people, turned out to be the druggie neighbors, ran sacked the house looking for money to buy drugs. They didn't get much.

Our home was never robbed, but our business was. We own an ice company, and someone broke out a window to the front door. First they tried to steal a sports car I had stored in one of the back garages. We turn of all the breakers to the power garage doors so he wasn't able to get the car out. Then he ram sacked our office and stole a bank bag full of change. Unfortunately our ice truck was parked outside and we always leave the key under the floor mat. He tried to steal that, but realized about 1/2 a block down the road he couldn't drive a stick shift. He just left it in the middle of the road.
The worse part was when he went down the street to a towing business and tried to steal a car, the owner caught him and the guy stabbed him with a screw driver he stole from our shop.

Thankfully, I have never been robbed. I did get a good tip once, though. Put something valuable, something that someone would want to take, near the front door. That way if you arrive at home while it's being robbed, you would hopefully notice that something is up before you are trapped in your house.
Just a thought.

Five times, once as well people arrived while I was alone at home. They musta thought there was a guy inside cause they left - after kicking all my dogs please note. Only once did police actually arrive to investigate, but nothing came of it, and now the only folks who have guns in SA are the criminals!!
Just why do you think I left SA?

No, but several break-ins and robberies have occurred in other buildings on my property over the years.
