I am searching for a job. And I want to work in a department store (I am almost 18). I need a job that fits my already busy schedule. So when they say that the job has flexible hours, or do I have to make some compromises?

Be prepared to make compromises. You may be hired, and the company agree to a specific schedule, to meet your needs, but after a while, you will probably be asked to make a change for their benefit. This happened to a friend a few years ago. He was hired by U-Haul, to work his time around college. The manager got fired, and the new manager told him he was to work different hours. He mentioned the agreement, and was told to make a choice. He chose college, and now is making a good salary, working for someone else.

Some companies are full of it when they say they have flexible Schedules but not all =)

It's in your best interest to compromise when you can, since they do have a business to run and sometimes will need you when it's not as convenient for you.
