if you were 15 weeks could you pass the baby without being cut to open the vagina more in the case of a miscarriage?

Yes, at 15 weeks the fetus is only about 4 inches long and weighs about 3ounces. The problem comes from the possiblity of some of the placenta being retained in the uterus and causing excessive bleeding and possible infection. As long as the bleeding slows after the clots have passed and you don't run a fever then you should be ok physically.
As for what you said about the vagina being cut open to for the baby to pass--even a full-term 9lb+ baby doesn't require the vagina to be cut for it to pass. Many doctors prefer to make a small cut--episiotomy--to speed things up but rarely if ever is it actually necessesary for the mother and baby.
