We don't really have enough to go on here. Don't know if you're male or female but assuming you're male...is your wife busy taking care of the house, the kids, working full time, doing all the cooking etc and just too tired? Then give her a hand so she can get some rest and be there sexually for you. Also, you got 2 good hands, use one of 'em. You're married, so if you want to cheat, divorce her first then go get ya some.

I believe the best solution to hypersexuality is therapy and professional help. It is classified as a disease- not simply a high sex drive- and therefore, the solution ought be from people who know how to treat/deal with such. If it's not treated, neither polygamy or cheating will be real solutions, because they only address the symptoms of hypersexuality, and not the disease itself. Neither are 'cures', and in the long run, the person will end up worse off.

But if it were between the two options, polygamy would win every time . . . cheating and the lying that it implies is despicable. Don't hurt your partner that way- you don't deserve them if you can't be honest and open with them and take their feelings into consideration. Never cheat.

Hope that helps.

Why not just have more sex with your spouse? Your spouse is suppose to be there for you sexually, if you are being denied there are greater issues in your marriage than your sex drive.

Poly relationships are normally set up as such from the get go. Very few poly relationships succeed when established later. The difference between poly and cheating is this:
Poly is when the spouse knows and is okay with sex outside of the marriage.
Cheating is when the spouse does NOT know and is NOT okay with sex outside the marriage.

It ALL depends on your spouse's opinion of things. To me, cheating is cheating If you are married & the two of you married for the soul purpose of uniting TWO people as one, if there is a third party involved, that is just plain cheating. IF you married & your partner & yourself entered the state of marriage as an open relationship & BOTH agreed on this, so be it...I don't see the reason for marriage if it were not for the reason of being true to one another & being a "union" of two becoming one. Anyone added to that mix would make it a crowd...:)

Reading this I can see you have know idea about the sanctity of marriage. If you have this immoral drive then you should not be married. Marriage is a sacred bond between to people and should not be disgraced by people having this mind set. Never cheat on or have emotional connection with more then one person at a time except for family of course.

What you are asking here is disrespectful and just pathetic. If you are married you need to let this person go before you act on this and hurt her even more.

I say the lesser of two evils is the cheating on the spouse. At least when its over its over. With polygamy you're living with the extra wives and any children. That could be extremely humiliating.

Hypersexuality is a common symptom of manic depression. One option would be to discuss this with your physician.
