I'd use a water melon for the ball and corn on the cob for the skittle pins

I would use old baguettes for the pins (they get really hard) and a melon for the ball, or if melons aren't available I would use a grapefruit.

We used frozen turkeys in the freezer dept in a warehouse...I don't think we cared what we were aiming at.
