woke up on the wrong side of Bush!! Ya he murdered a bunch of people BEFORE Bush Sr was there for the first war. With chemical weapons we helped him build!! We overlook atrocities until its politically convenient to recognize them!!

He was hung specifically for crimes against humanity commited against Shia Arabs in 1982.
In 1982 when Saddam was making an official visit to the village of Dujail someone tried to assasinate him. Saddam took out revenge on the entire village by killing 148 villagers and arresting and torturing 1,500 thousand people. He also destroyed the farmland surrounding the village. Later the village was rebuilt by the government
An issue which did not come up during the trial was the ethnic cleansing of Kurds with chemical weapons given to him by the US. This was because in the 80s the US viewed the Kurds as an untrustworthy race who were sympathetic to Iran (a country which neo-cons hate). Saddam's crimes against Kurds were never heard in court. The execution was sped up in order to raise Bush's approval ratings.

He adminstered the killing of countless Shia Muslims and Nerve Gassed Kurds to death!
but obviously he was not a criminal given what Bush and Co. are doing with so much fervor!
He was basically hung because after playing puppet to the USA...the US finally thought he was an expendible asset!

Using weapons we sold to him in the eighties to fight Iran and gas about a million of their people, he gassed Kurds that Bush Sr. incited to revolt against Hussein, saying they had the blessing of the US military if they overthrew Hussein. Needless to say, Bush Sr. was only kidding when he told Kurds that they would be helped in their struggle against Hussein. The kurds were gassed, we knew it, it was covered in the MSM then, but we did nothing because the alternative would've been to overthrow Hussein ourselves. And as Dick Cheney so eloquently put it in 1992, doing so would be catastrophic to the US military and would lead to civil strife and chaos in Iraq. See link.

Yes it is true that Saddam ordered his own citizens to be killed. So he deserved to hang. Now the same could be said for Bush but he would never kill his own citizens now would he? No not our dubbyah. No that would be unheard of. Lol.

Gassed the Kurds with US helicopters and equipment.
Only we condemned him for that 23 years later. That makes him a bad guy now, before he was an friend for waring with Iran.

Officially it was "Crimes against humanity". He deserved what he received and I certainly feel no regret for him. His two sons received what the deserved also, they were demented fools and their death's came far to late.
