I would wait till after you graduate. I had to quit because it was too time consuming. I've also heard that colleges don't look to great upon the whole modeling and homeschooling on the road thing.

Just because people told you one thing doesn't mean that its absolutely true. I've seen stories about models who continued to be in school while they modeled and if that's the way that you want to go then I say "Go for it".
I guess the concern would be would you get as many modeling gigs if you do it this way. If you're good at it then they will make the time and work around your schedule.

It depends on what kind of work you get. You can start off by doing small jobs while you're in high school to get some experience and a little bit of $$ in your pockets. I know plenty of girls in school that do this. After school you can do bigger modeling gigs and you would have all ready had the experience and your name would have all ready been out there for the modeling agencies.

Well... it depends if you get signed with an agency, and what kind of jobs they present to you. Runway models do quite a bit of traveling and so it would require time away from school... which could eventually result in homeschooling. Or, if you do print modeling it depends how often you do it and where. So really, it depends on the agency you're signed with, what the industry is looking for, and what kind of industry you want to do. Good luck!

I have a friend who models...actually, I have to friends who model and both of them are still in public or private school. I guess it really depends on the modeling agency, program, or whatever, but ask and go for it if the answer is no to homeschooling. I seriously doubt you'd have to be homeschooled though.

Not to worry, I went to public high school all four years and still had a modeling contract. You just need to learn how to balance out your schedule and make sure your parents are supportive of what you're doing!

im in the same position somewhat and have been given an apprenticship like course to follow up modelling. im gonna wait until i've finished school.....because then i will have something to fall back on if modelling breaks down. i realise its a flaky and competitive business so im focusing on the safe things.....good luck!

modeling isnt just about being pretty and being skinny
its not as easy as it sounds
its like any other thing
its not a pastime
its a carrer.
you have to put your mind to it
plus money is also a big requirement
i bet you are pretty
but if you havent noticed people say oh ya you are pretty all the time
if you want it go for it
but its harder than you think......

I would wait until you graduate. This way you wont be pressured by being homeschooled,or school work or friends or anything.
I would say go for it though. You sound great for it, so why not?

How tall are you? You need to be at least 5'8" for commercial modeling or 5'10" for runway modeling. Check with your local modeling agencies, you don't need to be in New York or L.A. to model, most larger cities have modeling agencies that do advertisements and such.
