I gotta say, the 80's. I love New Wave as it was called. B 52's, Psychedelic Furs, Echo and the Bunneymen, Souxsie and the Banshees, Elvis Costello, Flock of Seagulls and so many more.

Actually...it spans two decades...1956-through 1965 mainly, with 1964 and 1965 being the best for me....I was in 8th grade
and experiencing the height of BEATLEMANIA and the British
invasion and it was all so wonderful for me..The happiest time
of my life when I was growing up...=)

I mainly got into th 50's music and times BECAUSE of the Beatles, of course...and those were the songs that they grew up with, especially Elvis, Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly and Little Richard...

For me it was the mid 60's thru 70's.......The Beatles, Eric Clapton, the Who,Elton John, Dillon, to Peter, Paul & Mary, & Simon & Garfunkle, just to name a very few. Those were turbulant times, that created great music and even greater writers. Oh the times, they are a changin..... :-)
