Laws provide that any income derived from all sources such as from labor is taxable in order to fund the expenses of the government. Taxes are the lifeblood of the nation.

There is a black and white law that says you must pay taxes. On the other hand...

About that receipt.
1. Do you have roads to drive on?
2. Do you have a job?
3. Are you safe at your own house?
4. Do your children go to school?
5. Is any product in your house "made in china"?
6. Do you have medical insurance?
7. Do you use the postal service?
8. Do you recieve any subsidies?
9. Ever used the internet?
10. Can you say what ever you want?
11. Do you use USA money?

My guess is that you can say yes to each and everyone of the things on the above list. The government had made sure that all of these things are provided for you. So back off, get a life, learn grammer and how to spell, and pay your taxes. Ungrateful person!

LOL! You really expect a receipt from the government?
If the info on your 1040 is false, you can pay some big fines and possibly some jail time.
Our government collects taxes from everyone that works. It is the way it is set up, since our governments inception. Complaining about it won't change it.

Here it is in black and white, title 26, section 61(a)(1):
"(a) General definition

Except as otherwise provided in this subtitle, gross income means all income from whatever source derived, including (but not limited to) the following items:

(1) Compensation for services, including fees, commissions, fringe benefits, and similar items;"

Don't believe the charlatans who tell you that wages and commissions aren't taxable. They are and have been for 94 years.

Actually I've heard that someone sued the Feds years ago, claiming that tax collection violates his rights, and won the case. I also heard this case is classified (for obvious reasons). This could be total BS though, I don't know for sure.

There are two things you have to do if you're born as an American, pay taxes and die.
