My roommate was considering getting a piercing on one of his ears. What do you think is the most attractive and/or acceptable piercing for a guy? I mean left or right or cartilage...I know some areas consider a piercing in a certain ear as a signal that you're gay, which he is not.
What do you think?

Most of the guys i know have both of their ears pierced. It looks better too, but if we have to choose a side i say the left.

In the 80's, the style was "right is wrong" !!
I was in the Navy, so earrings weren't permitted for males... except for a VERY obscure regulation that allowed a sailor who's ship had sunk from under him was allowed a gold-stud, left.
I think (and I'm OLD) that as long as it's TASTEFUL... a single earring in one or both is okay.

My man has both his ears done twice in the lobe. He is straight as an arrow. When our son turns two next February, we are getting his done. I think that whole "gay" thing went out the window in the eighties, cuz e1 was so dopey they forgot which ear meant what.

I think it's unacceptable for guys to have piercings. I think earrings are a feminine thing. But that's just my opinion.
