Hold up, I'm not asking for your opinion on the verdict. Rather, here's what I would like to point out. Why did it seem so acceptable for everyone to question the stripper's "character" just because she's a stripper, when it seems like the lacrosse player revealed a lot more about is character when he shouted racist things, and later wrote an email about killing strippers? Regardless of what you think of this SPECIFIC case, does this reveal a double standard regarding how we treat sex industry workers? If so, is this prejudice likely to make it difficult for dancers and other sex industry workers who have been assaulted to find justice?

Tony,
Jesus Christ. What man isn't going to rape, given the chance? I think you just might be the craziest mf-er I've ever discovered here on YQA, congrats. Hate to find myself on a date with you.

And by the way, I do think she probably lied. That's really not the point. Special congrats to the very few individuals who were able to read the details and display some reading comprehension skills.

Also, Tony, everyone knows rapists don't rape because they HAVE to. It's not because they haven't been able to find a woman who's willing to have sex with them. they rape for the purpose of rape- power and abuse.

I think it is and will be difficult for anybody who has anything to do with the sex trade - whether working or client - to get justice. It reflects poorly on the character of everybody involved.

The most difficult part about this case is, how do you prove rape. People may say that it is about some black stripper, but a stripper is not a prostitute. And these guys were lucky they had the money to fight the charges. This case was about some rich white kids having sex with a poor black college student. Are you allowed to rape the girl that comes to your house for your batchleor party? No. If it happens, can the woman prove it if the other guys know each other? Im sure many exotic dancers and woman on the whole can see more into this case than black and white. They see that it wasnt rape because of everything except the woman saying no. There was no point at which we say that woman on TV saying that she said no. Thats what we are taught right? Different people can get away with different things. O.J. Simpson <=> Emmitt Till

If a women is a stripper she is selling her body to make money. So it should go to the highest bidder. If some man or women paid her she would have sex at the drop of the hat or check. When she is paid to come to a party of men like sports men at a party? I mean what did she expect?
A bunch of drunk men?
Any women who lowers herself to strip and entertain with her naked body deserves what she gets. If they would have gang raped her or black football players with a white women stripper it is the same so it is not racist. If a women wants to be a toy and use her body to make money she deserves what she gets.
What kind of a women would do that? So because she flaunts it he gets 30 years in prison for accepting it?
what man isn't going to do that if he can? Unless he is gay.
Other sex industry workers? Give me a break, they are asking for it and when they get it they hollar rape.
No man has to rape a stripper! Give me a break.

It's one thing to be a stripper getting through school, but it's an entirely different thing to be a single mother with some guy's sperm in you, showing up intoxicated (underaged) and making false claims of rape.

HUGE difference.

The very fact that you're even mentioning this one idiot's unfortunate private email after these 3 young men not only had the charges dropped, but were EXONERATED of the crimes they were accused of, is evidence that you're grasping at straws to avoid accepting that you're guilty of a rush to judgement.

JMHO...
