Well I'm not American but I don't appreciate racism or people attacking someone or something which they have no understanding of. I am sick and tired of people using the whole "freedom of speech" thing as an excuse for shooting their mouth off just because they can. This is not what "freedom of speech" means.
Am I anally retentive just because I have a conscience and I like people to use their brain before their mouth (or in this case, fingers!!!)
There is nothing wrong with calling a spade a spade, but there is also nothing wrong with treating a human being like a human being. When I read some of the answers on this site, I can't help wondering whether certain people were brought up or dragged up.
We shouldn't judge all Americans by some of the answers we see on this site, just like I wouldn't like Americans to judge all us Brits by the answers they see.
There's good and bad in all races, faiths and cultures.

HAHAHA "anally retentive"
But seriously, when I'm on the phone to my mate and I say something like 'war', 'Bush', or even 'flag' I seriously hear my voice echoing back for 5 secs. We're convinced that it is actually the point where the CIA tap into out conversation. I then, at that point, say "Hey friend let's talk about Hiroshima”
(Oh my goodness I hope Yahoo don't ban me from this.....)
Having read some of the answers given, it seems "Chancer's G" is right in assuming you can't have certain opinions without being called a bigot

i think its mainly to do with religious issues/views or religo-social issues/views (such as abortion etc.) that winds people up. the thing is, these peple arent "open" and will immediately go off on one. for example if you said you thought abortion was right, you would get some agreeing, some being indifferent, some disagreeing and some who are all "how dare you! you will burn in hell! abortion is WRONG!" kinda thing. the sort of people who let religion take over themselves (yet there isnt any proof of gods existance. no come on, seriously, is there any actual PHYSICAL proof?? didnt think so), and they keep a closed mind, (i know what i just said seems "closed-minded", but im not saying god doesnt exist or does exist. im just saying theres no proof), not even saying something like "i can see why some people would support abortion, (i.e. mental health of parents etc.) but i disagree because.........". if you have an opinion that offends the people with the "right" view, a religious evangelical one, you are obviously wrong in every way for having that view. (yeah, sarcastic)
sorry for ranting, but 1) i do rant, and 2) its SO true though.

Look you have just been told - countless americans have laid down their lives for their country - and others. Also the us and the uk won the second world war together. Don`t be so disrespectful. You can have an opinion - just don`t expect everyone to agree with you - they`re entitled to an opinion as well. Or is that just you....? You`re talking like a dictator....

Absolutely not! Why? I am not American but I do have family in the US. At the same time America is not the world, we live in multi-polar world not a uni-polar and when I come across ''you are either with us or against us'' attitudes I react against this. But this is not the case for most Americans that I come into contact with.

Blame the US politicians and the power elite first, then blame all the intentionally ignorant,of which the US does seem to
have more than it's share. (I'm not one one those, been a docu channel addict and fairly well educated) Then blame
the US news media for being totally full of crap, but then
it's owned by the power elite who are connected to the
political and megacorp cooperatives.

Heh, if any American were to put down another people or place, we'd be shot down, fast.
But nope, lets all blame America, such a convenient target. God Bless America, we feed and clothe the world, we've saved it countless times from tyrants and monsters, we rock so much, that thousands of people every day resort to smuggling themselves inside our borders.
In other nations, they'd be arrested, beaten, or worse. Here, we just capture them, and send them back so they can try again. Hell, we even feed them.
Whenever another nation calls for us, we load up to set things right.
America, my friend, kicks A*S*S!!
