Wind Beneath My Wings

I have a great many songs that I consider inspirational however, "The Greatest Love of All" is one that stands out. Also, "I Believe I Can Fly". I have not heard too many inspirational 'rap' songs, but I do have friend who recorded one called "Conversation With the Street". It's a song that uses personfication very adeptly. The street is trying to convince a young man who is in college to give up his dreams and sell drugs. He continues to talk to the young man until he decides he will give it a try. His job was to deliver some drugs to a man and get the money in exchange. A tail light is out in the car and he's stopped by the police and taken downtown to jail. Of course, he attempts to call "Streets" and streets politely tells him, "Don't call anymore, make it your home"...a good lesson told in a very dramatic way. I love the way this story was told in a 'rap/hip hop' form. Thanks to BHoward.

Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not;
As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be.

Refrain

Great is Thy faithfulness!
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided;
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

Summer and winter and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.

Refrain

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

Refrain
