Yes! I know this may seem silly to people who don't beleive in a God, but one time, I prayed that the next person I like will like me back and will be the one for me to spend my life with. I also asked that I would like him only for his personality and that I could completely trust him and that he wasn't the type to "look" at girls or anything. I also asked that I would make him happy.

A few months later I met Sean. I grew very fond of him because of his kindness and respect for other girls. I then realised I had feelings for him and asked God that if he is the right person then I wanted everything to happen in God's way- in his own time.

It took ages before me and Sean told eachother, but I'm so happy we've been together for a year and I know I want to spend the rest of my life with him. We are so inlove.

Hee hee this probably sounds so corney...

After my first marriage to a narcissist ended I was so destroyed emotionally that I did not want to love again. But, the heart has a way of healing and I eventually vowed that the next man I entered into a relationship with would be mentally healthy and we would have a healthy relationship.

One year after my marriage ended and I felt ready to date again, I sat down and decided to make a "wish list". I listed everything that I wanted in a partner - my entire list had nothing to do with the amount of money my partner made - but the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects that I wanted my partner to embody. It is a long list. I am happy to say that I have met a man that possess 99% of everything on that list (his only shortfall is that I requested a 6'1 mate and he is shorter than that).

Anyway, we met fell in love and are talking marriage. It has been a wonderful romance.

Our engagement story goes like this. I took her to a quaint ice cream shop in my hometown (in another state than where we met and lived), and then to a lake nearby.
We finished the cones and sat on a bench to look at the water. Totally unplanned, of course, I looked to the sky and saw only one star and said, "My wish on that star is that we have a wonderful life together. Will you marry me?"
After she accepted and we kissed, we looked up to see a sky filled with stars.
I have been told that there is a scientific reason for that. I prefer not to know about it.
