you get paid for residency plus you will be working out of one hospital or watever it is to help build experience you don't get paid for internships usually unless it specifies that it is a paying internship

Residency is after you graduate from med school and take your Hippocratic Oath. Internships are before you graduate.
Dunno about the money, not a huge amount.
