I find nothing exhausting about being personable or friendly with other people. Shouldn't we all be? Now in regard to that same situation involving the "suits" in my company, YES, VERY MUCH SO!

OMG yes, its a drill - getting up in the morning and going out into the world and having to put on a smile, covering up what you really feel personally and towards others and especially maintaining the image you want to project to get by in life - sure they say you should be yourself, but damn that doesn't get you anywhere - Universities like personable people, politicians need to be personable atleast publicly and most successful people so...yeh im exhausted - had to say hi to my neighbour this morning - then had to smile and ask her how her holiday was, then I had to lie and say mine was great *Yawn*.

Not anymore. But when I ran a restaurant it was horribly exhausting being sweet, nice, and outgoing to everyone even though they were mean. Now I can just be myself and it's nice.

Yes, actually I do. When you work with the public it really sucks because you have to pretend to be nicer than you really are. Only being a normal level of polite and nice is not good enough for people!

Being personable is exhausting if you have to fake it. I believe in being yourself and being frank with others.

Yes, I have bar-tended and that can be very exhausting when the patron can not intercourse intellectually.
