i agree with you but there is nothing we can do. thats our society(culture) where everybody has to be "spoiled" and a princess. Instead of learning cooperation girls learn to compete to be "special". The biggest way you can speak is with your money. don't buy it. and if enough people think like you do then matel will change their ways.

There is nothing with the Bratz dolls, they are just cute! I'm an adult (or would that be a kid trapped in an adult body?) and have a Bratz alarm clock.
I don't think the impact is from the dolls so much as from the social values. I think you could use such dolls as an object lesson to help you instill your own values in your children and grandchildren.

in my perception, kids are "getting mature" way to young. you see like 8 year olds with purses and children sized clothes that teens wear. then by like 11 or 12 its already make up ahoy! i mean like the princess dolls are ok since no matter how you look at them their fairytale charaters. and even with the past generations young girls will still dream to be a princess when they grow up. my scene is "ok" just the whole dating, break-up, and cheating things that they seemed to have incorporated into them sorta annoys me. and bratz its just way too much "star studded {shoot}" all the glam cam and everything. and just a bit too much make up too, don't you think? dark dark eyeliner and thick deeply multi matched coloured eye shadow covering like panda eyes. and then blushed up with deep lipstick?

It's like this generation Barbie... I personally hate these types of dolls because of the negative image. Little girls are going to grow up to believe that men only want thin scantly clad girls and they will expect the men to buy them things. These dolls are molding our little girls to be vulnerable and empty headed. Like the song says "I don't want to be a stupid girl" ... You say it loud and proud Pink!!!

Boycott the Bratz! Those things are the ugliest things ever! They encourage too many bad things for little girls. I suggest sticking with the Barbie. And not the Disney 12 princess Barbies, either. The plain good old Barbie.

You stop it by continuing to get your kids dolls that you approve of...I've always heard the same thing about Barbie convincing the kids that they need to be skinnier, etc.

As a parent, you can use a special word. Its rarely seen these days but it can potentially put a stop to a lot of bad influences.
The magic word is "No".

i agree the new examples of dolls in our toy stores and in our cartoons are repulsive. the only thing we can do is not buy/allow them.
