I have a 95 Mitsubishi Galant that I use for work.

It used to be that it would simply stumble at lower RPM's but when I got it above 2k it would smooth out and accelerate just fine. But now, I can barely drive the thing when it gets to Normal driving temps.

The car idles fine, 90% of the time. Sometimes it drops about 400RPM and sputters but jumps right back to about a 1000Rpm idle.

The plugs, wires and air filter are 2 months old, the cap and rotor I replaced yesterday, along with the fuel filter.

I checked the wires for arcing, but saw no signs.

The check engine light comes on, but not when this issue is present. For the last 4 days the check engine light has been off, but the issue has gotten worse.

I can hear the fuel pump working before I turn the key to start the car.

Tried some commercial Injector cleaner on a whim, nothing.

Checked the Mass Airflow sensor, it looks clean to me.

Any suggestions?

Just had issues with my '97 Camry....almost the same symptoms....when I would push on the gas there was hesitation, sometimes it seemed like there was also a dead spot in the accelerator, turned out my O2 sensor was about to die.....Replaced the O2 (oxygen) sensor, now my car idles better, no sputtering, no hesitation....

in spite of you do don't get A BORDER COLLIE. don't get me incorrect, they're remarkable dogs, yet they're severe working dogs with an outstanding herding intuition. they'll make your resident cats depressing! they'd nip to boot (back, this is area of the herding intuition) and are no reliable with toddlers. they're additionally so clever, they lose interest relatively and continuously choose a job (or they'll wreck your domicile). A Labrador Retriever is an all around outstanding breed. They make wonderful kinfolk dogs, have super temperaments and are known for doing superb with people, different dogs and cats. in the experience that your mom is allergic to dogs, in spite of the undeniable fact that, hair length is incredibly beside the point. All dogs shed and maximum of the each physique isn't allergic to the hair, they're allergic to the dander and the saliva. in case you elect a hypo-allergenic dogs, get a poodle. Poodles don't have fur they have hair and are super for persons with hypersensitive reactions. they're clever dogs too and are available in 3 sizes...toy, minature & conventional. reliable success.
