im going to college in sept entering as a freshman. should i pick the all female floor or the mixed floor. i'm having a really hard decision and i want your opinion if youve experienced dorming. thank you so much im really torn

I live in an all girls building. At first, I know lots of people who have reservations living with girls, but from first hand experience, it's better. For one thing, it's much quieter which is good for sleep and getting your work done (remember why you really are in college). Another reason is that the floors are a lot cleaner and smell better, generally speaking, of course. Also, remember that especially if the building is co-ed, you won't have to go far to meet guys. Think of it this way. You can hang out with them on their floor and then come back to the peace and security of your own to sleep. In a co-ed building on an all girls floor, you get the best of both worlds.

Do you have a brother? Mixed floor would be like having 50 brothers goofing off and teasing you 24/7.
I would stick with an all female floor. You can study easier and will be less distracted.

Go with the all-female floor. You'll have far fewer people partying all night or puking in the hallway and not cleaning it up. And the bathrooms will be much cleaner. In fact, try an all-female dorm, if possible.
Ha, real world. In the real world, you don't share bathrooms with your neighbors. In fact, if you live in an apartment building, you don't know your neighbors at all. There are plenty of opportunities to meet guys, you don't need or want them living next door.

The all-female floor. You will bond better with the females than the males. You will probably feel more comfortable aroung the girls, than guys, at least your first semester.
