I have my 20 week scan tomorrow and i was wondering if i need to take a urine sample with me!

My doctor took a sample every time I went into the office. My doctor had me urinate at the office.

Depends on your doctor. Will you just the the ultrasound tech or both. I only seen the tech then had another visit a week later to go over the scan. They do tell you normally to have a full bladder for the scan. You might call ASAP for further instructions just to make sure you do what they want and need.

I urinate in a cup at every visit I was told it was to check for protein in the urine which is a sign of preeclampsia if youu are just goin in for a u/s then maybe not my doc schedules them at the same time as you're appt but they all have different procedures why do you not do it in the office do you bring the pee from home? does that sound dumb? sorry good luck maybe you'll know the sex?

Usually when you go in for a sonogram you don't need a sample only when you go see your regular doctor. You just need a full belly (of water) for a scan.

u need a urine sample everytime u vist the doctor to make sure u don't get and suagr or infection during ur pregnacy

Not if its only for a scan, just make sure you drink at least a quart of water before your scan, the fuller your bladder is the more accurate it will be. If your seeing Doc too couldnt hurt.

if ur going to the hospital then u wouldnt need one but i took one just incase
