what not to do:

go with somebody you don't really want to be with. case in point, went to my prom with a friend's acquantaince, because boy I wanted to go with said no. I would have rather gone stag. I had a very miserable time with a guy I barely knew and the guy I wanted to go with stared at me all night.

don't drink please. you do not need alcohol to have fun.

what to do:

wear comfy shoes
go with a big group of friends
bring a camera
wear a dress/outfit that you can move around in, especially if you like to dance in.

Don't drink so much that you can't remember prom afterwards

Do get lots of pictures - you'll treasure them afterwards.

Don't go someplace silly like Wal-Mart or Hardees after or before prom.
