Poe. She writes music that really has something to say instead of "Ooh, I love you baby!" (Not that that can't be fun). Her words really speak to me, and she layers her meanings. I can listen to her CDs a hundred times and always catch something new. She puts in noises that aren't really music, but give you feelings. Her CD 'Haunted' is one cohesive piece of music that can be listened to as independent songs, but flows together to tell a story.
