What else defines you as conservative republican besides being against gay marriage, abortion and for the death penalty?
Is that a "religious value"?..... Because I am atheist and I am against gay marriage, against abortion and I am for the death penalty as well.
what about greed, bribery and militarization? is that a religious value? Can you point out to me where that is in your gospel?

Right wing: You have your standards so low...
"every administration", sadly, is the only two parties one is allowed to choose from.
Why do neocons like yourself have such thick blinders on to think anyone who's not with you (neocon Bush loving Repubs) must be for the "other party".
I fear for this country.

True conservatives believe in small federal government, states rights, low taxes, limited involvement in foreign government. I believe that the past elections show that many true conservatives are beginning to realize that the current administration simply used them for their vote and then proceeded with a vastly different agenda.

Many Republicans say that Democrats really do not understand the 5 G's the way that the average American does: God, gays, guns, greenery and government. They're not wrong. Personally, I have this tendency to think as though the whole country is like New York. But that's because I live there. A lot of the rest of the country is really quite conservative. What I think is most important is that the tension between Republicans and Democrats gets played out peacefully. Nobody murdered George Bush or any Justices of the US Supreme Court when the Court handed the Presidency to the majority's political benefactor. THIS is the triumph of democracy - political restraint in the face of provocation.

I think you may be confusing a couple of concepts here...
The first is that all conservatives are religiously motivated. While it's true that many American conservatives are religious, the two don't always go together. There are plenty of conservatives who are not particularly religious. These people favor conservatism for philosophical or practical reasons (for example, they may be individualists). Even those conservatives who are religious don't base every policy position on Scripture...they might oppose gay marriage because they believe it goes against the Bible, and favor tax cuts because they just think it will be good for the economy.
Another misconception is that "small government" means small in size. Most often when a conservative talks about small government, the emphasis is on limiting the SCOPE of what government can do. That is, that want a government that has a small list of responsibilites, not necessarily a government that has understaffed and underfunded responsibilities.

Kool-Aid alert.

By what? I don't agree with what you are saying and I am trying to do it politely. Fact is the majority of conservatives are against gay marriage, are pro life, and support the death penalty. I have no doubts that bribery has and will go on in Washington but you are blind if you don't think every administration does this.

Had you read my previous post you would have seen what I disagreed with you on. You (not directly) accused the administration of bribery and greed and I pointed out to you that you are foolish if you believe Democrats, Conservatives, or Independents for that matter don't do the same thing. I don't believe Bush is a bad man and I KNOW he has made numerous mistakes so calling me "Bush loving Repub" who only see things from that perspective is ridicolous.
I also find it hilarious that I have on "thick blinders" when your argument is the same thing. But what really has my laughing is the fact you have never met me and you know I have low standards. That was priceless.
