Why are people POOR?

People are not poor if they have food, clothing, and shelter. Americans were poor during the Great Depression. The stock market collapsed during that time, and drought caused a lot of problems. Americans could not grow enough food to eat. Many of them almost starved to death. There are extremely wealthy people in America, but having wealth doesn't always mean you will be rich. Many rich people have went to prison and lost everything over night. Take the guy that created the Girls Gone Wild videos as an example. He became very wealthy by filming naked girls, but now he is facing jail time simply because a couple of those young girls did not reveal their real ages when he filmed them. They were underage. He will be sitting in prison, and he will be poor. There are other things that cause people to become poor, but lack of good judgment is usually what causes a person to become poor.

Like me I got hurt at work a patient was confuses I am in health care and this happen a lots long story short I wasn't born rich and I think 90% of the people in this world have to work very hard with an education or none at all we are working for someone doctor,nurses,lawyer,etc etc if we lose this income because of health reason injury,cancer,diseaes,etc
that is one start of the poor in this couldn't it hard to get up there but it is so ease to fall down

they are not really poor if they have health and people that love and care about them and they care about themselves i think someone came up with a word ,everyone ,needs to be poor, so called ,so they can learn to survive in crisis like a spouse dying and the other partner being left alone without an income .or the electric being off . they will learn how to survive and not panic out in stressful situations . example phone call my electric went out i cant flush commode answer collect rain water,

Mostly lazy. Spend instead of Save. They think short term. Uneducated. They stay poor to recieve earned income tax credit every year.

what poor you mean? wealth, mind, understanding, etc.
well, if you say wealth then, it's a long way and uncertain to achieve that. But the shortest way to get there....try your luck in the lottery.
