Can she open her cervix with her own finger. If so would that be dangerous, to her or the baby?

I wasn't going to do it? I am a nurse and know what to feel for. I never thought about someone checking their own cervix before. i was just wondering if it were possible. I am only 1cm right now and I want to be done!!!! I think I'd be very desperate to try it. Has anyone tried it before?

Technicaly you could, I wouldnt recomend it. If you can even reach that far around you now. I can hardly reach when I have gone to the bathroom. Also, if you check yourself, you might cause a problem. Since you are a nurse then you know about infection. I would leave it up to your doctor and nurses at the hospital. Good Luck

I even have checked my very very own cervix to make your suggestions up whilst im ovulating yet no longer mutually as being pregnant. Your cervix is extremely ordinary to locate and particular if feels kinda like a dougnut with a hollow in it if its open. it truly is extremely gentle whilst your pregnant and it will become skinny and open once you start to ovulate and that's how i've got been given pregnant. It additionally will become skinny an open once you're initiating to dialate and efface. So i'm able to make certain the place human beings ought to try this yet i does no longer possibility the prospect with a baby interior of you. solid luck to you and desire you have your toddler quickly!

Ok well you do a cervical check to see if your ovulating so I assume that you are ok to do the check. However I do not believe you will be albe to tell so there really is NO reason to be doing it, as you notice while your at the doctors, you are scooched all the way to the end of the table with head up a little bit...so he can get way in there, plus he pushes down on your tummy a little bit...really again I do not believe you will be able to tell.
If you so choose though, MAKE sure you wash your hands with soap and water!!!! and don't go in and play around, just check and then leave it alone!!! You can annoy it and make yourself spot and create stress!

do u really want to introduce infection to ur baby?
well cervix is quite high above, even the penis hardly reaches it, i believe a finger is smaller in length.
U cant dilated it ur self at all, what so ever u may do for it.
only medicaltion by doctor can do it & if it was possible with anyones finger, doctors wouldn't have used medication for it.

I wouldnt recommend trying this as you have no clue what to feel for, if your doing it right, etc...it took me months of doing clinicals before I actually could tell the difference between someone dilated at 3cm and 8cm.

it is possible to feel your own cervix, in fact many woman have and do not even know it. however, you should not try to touch it if you are pregnant or dialate it.. it can introduce germs especially if you are close to delivering.
