You would think that one of our basic freedoms would be to be allowed to spend our education dollars where we want them spent, they are our dollars and our children?

So would you support vouchers nationally? Would you support our rights to educate our children with our money?

Hey if you think it will take away from public schools, just opt out, but let me spend my money on my children, besides a little morality might do some good for these little monsters

let parents have a choice
let parents have their rights

I would support a voucher program. One day I'd like to see education completely privatized, but vouchers would be an acceptable alternative.

I think vouchers would improve education, since schools would be competing for students and funding. I also think vouchers would lead to fewer political fights regarding schools,. Instead of pressure groups trying to force their agenda on everyone in the school district, each parent would be free to choose the school that matches their beliefs and values.

Don't like the idea of teaching kids evolution? Use your voucher to send them to a religious school. Want your kids to learn about diversity and tolerance? Choose a school that emphasizes those values.

Everybody wins.

No. Vouchers do not pay the full tuition, it just get's a student started. After the money runs out, they go back to the public school system. This is an inefficient use of public dollars and precious time. Private schools do not have to take your money, they can pick and choose. The money for vouchers comes at the expense of public education dollars. Families move into nice neighborhoods because of the fine public school system. I am suspect of vouchers when the US Supreme Court has long since ruled that the funding formula is unconstitutional. The Legislature has not provided remedy. This is the case defintely in Ohio and throughout much of the country.

Yes. Some of our children are forced to go to schools that don't even have text books for the children. How are we to compete with the rest of the world. Did you ever notice when you go to the hospital now it's hard to find a doctor that was born in this country. Technical jobs are filled by people from India. Illegals do service and farm work. If your child goes to a good school be grateful but don't think it is like that all over the country.

No I could not support the use of school vouchers. I believe that the public school system is by far the best system to use in educating our citizens.

I think college should be for free in the greatest country in the world. Everybody born here should have that right, and oppertunity.

No, it would take away from money needed for public schools to finance religious schools.
