Yes most definitely. I finished school 24 years ago and me and my mates are still very very close friend.

We are each others kids Godparents.

My best friend died in October last year and I went back home to the funeral. We had a reunion a fews days after.

I went back home again at Christmas and we met up again.

When I finally return home in Feb 2008 we plan to meet a lot more often but we do keep in touch by phone/email.

I'm 22 now and I left school at 18.

I stayed in touch with about 4 people after school - but lost contact with 2 of them over a year ago. I don't talk to the 3rd one much, but know where to contact her!

I am meeting the 4th person on Tuesday for the first time in over a year! Apparently he has some big news and wants to see me in person to tell me.... (I'm hoping he's won the lottery and remembers how close we were at school, hehe)

If it counts, I dated my English teacher through 6th form and I still keep in touch with her... ;-)

Oh and since I've started using Facebook and Myspace, I've found a lot of old school friends on there. We exchanged a few excited e-mails but then realised that there was a reason we didn't bother to keep in touch... lol!

xx Emmie

No...I graduated high school in 1983 and within a couple of years or so lost touch with just about everyone...I didn't start college until 1992 (I think) and didn't really form any close friendships there as I was an adult student in the midst of a lot of teens...I finished my last year and a half of college online, so that pretty much negated any school socializing.

Good question! As recently (I am 28 yrs old) & few people from school that i lost contact with have come back! It could be down to sites like myspace & friends united but its still cool I think. Thats where I have found them. I think a lot of people are regressing back to old friends at the moment & what they see as "the good old days" I expect?

Yes. We meet up once a month at least for lunch / dinner and on our birthdays. We went through primary school and high school together and they are a great bunch of friends. Male & female. About 40 years since we left school, plus the fifteen years at school, thats what you call, friends for life.

I still see a few of my old friends from school, but as you get older and go into work you tend to make a whole new circle of friends
